Women getting together to do good
100 Women Who Care Charlotte (100WWCC) is a Giving Circle comprised of Charlotte-area Women who get together several times a year to award a deserving Charlotte charity with our collective donation of $100 each – our Impact Award.
It’s Simple:
Members agree to attend quarterly meetings where we learn about three Charlotte 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organizations. Members are eligible to nominate Charlotte non-profits* for consideration. At each meeting, the three charities are picked at random and presented to the group by the nominating Member. Presentations are about 5 minutes plus a 5-minute Q&A. Members then vote anonymously for who our Giving Circle will support that quarter with our Impact Award. We use the online collective giving platform Grapevine to collect our members’ donations which are tax-deductible and often eligible for employer match programs. The group is run entirely by volunteers with no administrative fees solicited from members. Under the age of 30? Join our “30 Under 30” membership program for a quarterly donation of $50!
*Must be a Registered 501(c)(3) public charity in Good Standing with the IRS & operating for at least one year. Foundations are not eligible.
Get Together. Do Good. It’s that Simple!

It all started with a story…
Our History
Brought to Charlotte in 2023, the Charlotte chapter of 100 Women Who Care is a proud part of the 100 Who Care Alliance, the network of other 100 Who Care Giving Circles across the US and the World. Quarterly, we get together for a fun night out for a good cause where we give back to a chosen Charlotte charity with our collective donation.
While visiting the Charleston area, our local Giving Circle’s founder, Jennifer Otis, learned about the Charleston chapter of 100 Women Who Care. She decided to join the giving circle in her hometown of Charlotte. Much to her surprise, at that time, Charlotte did not have an active 100 Women Who Care giving circle. The rest is history as she embarked on starting the Charlotte chapter with a small group of likeminded, charitable women. Our membership of charitable women continues to grow as we welcome new members at every gathering. Other than the quarterly $100 donation and the cost to attend the quarterly events, membership is free and all Charlotte-area women are welcome. We hope you’ll join us!
